OK, just a quickie. You may find that responses to emails / messages dry up for the next few days. While Sunday Times puzzles editor Peter Biddlecombe is away on holiday I’m taking on the terrifying responsibility of judging/writing up the ST clue-writing contest. It’s a very new thing for me and I suspect the job is going to be intensive. If you send me messages and I don’t get back to you for a few days, please believe me I’m not being rude. I’ll have my head buried in dictionaries!

Just as a matter of interest which of the ST clue words are you judging? CATCH, COLD CHOULDER or CRANKY?
It’s COLD SHOULDER this week; just had the postal entries sent over, awaiting email ones. Am scared.
It’s not much fun being critical, I know. But if it helps us amateurs learn then it has to be a good thing.
