It disappeared for a while but Crossword Solver by Anthony Lewis is back. This FREE software is ideal for downloading, saving, printing and solving interactive puzzles prepared in Crossword Compiler and presented online. Its download menu now offers just the Independent’s cryptic and concise crosswords (there used to be others but they didn’t work) which, from a UK point of view, is ideal – the Indie is the only puzzle series that isn’t printer-friendly.
